Hello!!! Yes, I know, it’s been awhile since I’ve written, but I have certainly not been quiet on social media ( @tamturse).
With the start of a new month, and a new 18 month planner (I love you Lilly P. planner, your colors brighten my day), I am ready to implement new changes, dedications and intentions. There is still a month left in “unofficial” summer, and 4 months left of this year. I am making the most of them. But, if my yoga has taught me nothing else (and trust me, it’s taught me a lot) it’s that each time on the mat, each day, even each hour is a new start.
But still, being Type A, I do like symmetry of the start of a month, year, planner, to get going. So what am I starting? Lots of things:
- a dedication to regular site posts, and not just about running and yoga…
- some new plans for the site and my social media (stay tuned)
- a true goal roadmap of goals and intentions for the next 4 months, year and years ahead
- daily journaling
- a 30-day push-up challenge – yes, you read that right, I am not the best at push-ups, but love chatturanga, so I read in a magazine about challenging yourself to a 30-day push-up challenge, and I decided this month is the month. It’s 10 push-ups a day, and yes I did my 10 already. I have always been a knee dropper, but I challenged myself to keeping the knees lifted. It was slow, it was a true challenge, but I got it done. I will keep at it, and who knows maybe I’ll be past 10 with ease over the next 30 days.
So, that’s where I’m at. While not the ideal of a yogini, I am very goal-oriented so re-dedicating myself to some goals gets me energized – and I’m excited to share this process, and all my new plans with you. And yes, I’ll even share the push-up challenge, anyone want to join me? Share your comments here, and on my Insta @tamturse. I will still be sharing yoga and running things too, of course – don’t worry you’ll be seeing and hearing a lot about my Chicago Marathon Training!
Happy August, Everyone! xoxo
